A new business networking group has been launched in Lymm for businesses operating in the South Warrington area.
Following the success of a pilot networking initiative run locally by Kirsty James of KJ Business Solutions during the last 18 months, Kirsty has joined forces with two other local business women, Sharon Charteress and Stephanie Jones of Mood Design Solutions, to launch a new venture - The Colony Networking Group.
The aim of the group is to encourage local businesses to start talking to each other, share valuable experiences and most importantly to prompt businesses to use local products and services.
The group will be holding their first event at The Spread Eagle on Monday 19th April from 6pm until 8pm. The evening will follow a speed networking format giving attendees plenty of opportunity to meet each other, enabling individuals to pinpoint companies of interest. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis through Colony Networking for an introductory fee of £5.
Sharon Charteress comments, “There are many businesses in and around the Lymm area, many working from a home office, that we feel would benefit from a local networking group. We have certainly spent lots of time travelling to events outside of the south Warrington area and feel that we have brought the best elements of those groups together to create an effective arena in which we can get organisations to make the most of the local business community.
The Colony Networking Group will also meet on a more regular basis for an informal drop-in coffee morning. The sessions will provide a forum in which businesses either in the pipeline, the early stages, or well established, can share both stories of success as well as problems they’ve encountered, promote their products or services, talk about ways to create a harmonious work/life balance and discuss general local business issues.
The first session will take place on Tuesday 25th May between 10am – 12 noon at Elmas in Lymm village and people are invited to drop-in at any time. Further dates can be found on the Colony Networking Group Website.
