Swim as many lengths as possible in the 55 minutes

The Rotary Club of Lymm are organising a Swimathon at Lymm Leisure Centre on Sunday 6th March 2011 and are hoping to encourage up to 35 teams of 6 swimmers (adults and children) to participate. The aim is for teams to swim as many lengths as possible in the 55 minutes available. Each team member will have sought sponsors for the number of lengths the team (not the individual) completes. The Rotary Club hope to raise a useful sum for local charities connected to children and young people, including participating schools PTA's.

Potential participants should not be put off by the title. No team or individual is expected to swim an unduly long distance. The event involves the team swimming continuously for 55 minutes in a relay with only one member of the team in the water at a time.

Please do support this exciting venture and answer the challenge to raise money, very much needed by this years chosen charities.

It is hoped that many lengths will be completed on the day. The fundraising target is £4000, please help Rotary to exceed this figure.

Please obtain an entry form from Martin Dunkley Swimathon Co-ordinator on 07966466175 or midunkley@aol.com. Closing date is 23 February 2011
