Oxfam have recently announced that they are developing a brand new Oxfam Fundraising Group in Lymm.
The people in Lymm have supported Oxfam throughout the years, including recent responses to the earthquake in Haiti and floods in Pakistan. The community is already home to a large number of Oxfam Supporters and it has been suggested that people in Lymm would welcome the opportunity to join a group and use their time and skills to help people living in poverty.
The Lymm Fundraising Group would meet regularly and organise fun, friendly, local events to change lives in some of the poorest places in the planet. What events you organise is completely up to the group – anything from sponsored walks, open gardens, fashion shows and ladies lunches! With the support of Lymm, Oxfam can help to lift communities around the world out of poverty, whilst at the same time be part of a social group of like-minded people.
The charity are looking for people in Lymm who would be interested in joining the new group? It doesn’t matter what your skills are – you could be designing posters for fundraising events, counting the cash or talking to the local newspaper – there’s a role to suit everyone! You don’t need to have a lot of time to spare either – even if you are just able to help out at one of our events then we’d really appreciate it.
