And the £100 cash prize goes to . . .

Congratulations Hannah Charman on receiving the £100 cash prize for the best entry for Lymm.com’s first ever photographic competition. “Lymm Nature” was the theme for the competition, in which we think Hannah‘s image “Misty Swans” showing two swans on the Bridgewater Canal in the morning mist is a stunning example. Well done!!

Look out for Camera Munching Canines!

Having lived in Lymm for nearly a year now, Hannah loves the country feel Lymm has and says it is a very scenic village. When visiting friends and family down South, Hannah says she actually starts to miss the village and likes to log on to Lymm.com to view the webcams to see What’s on. The morning when Hannah shot the winning photograph, she was down at Oughtrington Community Centre setting up for a workshop. The photograph was taken by the humpback bridge on her trusty little digital camera she bought on half price from Argos the previous year! In fact, “Misty Swans” very nearly didn’t happen as moments before the photograph was taken, a passing dog thought that Hannah’s camera resembled a rather appetising breakfast and decided to have a cheeky munch of it as Hannah was walking by! Luckily enough, the camera remained unharmed, bar a bit of dog slobber, and the photograph was able to be captured.

A massive thank you goes out to all the other fab photographers who entered the competition. We received some fantastic entries which can all be viewed in the Gallery. Images can be viewed as a slideshow by clicking the slideshow link...
