Lymm Twin Town (French) Society has organised a Treasure Hunt around Lymm between 11am – 2pm on Sunday 9th May 2010. Local young families are invited to join in the fun which has content suitable for all ages. There will be a short 10 question French-themed quiz around the village for under 8’s and a longer 2 mile treasure hunt around Lymm for older children and adults. The hunt starts and ends at the Bridgewater Club (accessed from Whitbarrow Road or the canal towpath). The club will be open for refreshments and the garden open for picnics for participants £2 per entry.
Lymm has been twinned with Meung-Sur-Loire for over 40 years. Meung is a delightful small town about 10 miles west of Orléans in the Loire valley, an hour south of Paris. The Society aims to promote French culture and language by organising family social events throughout the year and an annual exchange visit, and supports local school links & language classes.
