Steph Davies

Green Party General Election Candidate, Warrington South

Steph has lived in Great Sankey for the last five years and was the founder of the Warrington Green Party, having been an active member of Halton Green Party prior to this when she lived in Halton.

Steph has stood for Great Sankey North in the last few local elections and has recently been elected as General Election Candidate for Warrington South.

Steph has a two year old daughter and is active in a number of environmental and conservation groups, working closely on projects with disadvantaged young people.

Her reason for standing as General Election candidate is to give voters a choice at the ballot box other than the traditional three party system. Key elections issues include climate change – improving local public transport, encouraging people to walk on short journeys, improving safety on roads for pedestrians and cyclists etc;. But Steph is also keen to campaign on improved local services – shops, schools, health care – and opposes huge out of town developments which people need to travel to by car and which depletes local communities and businesses.
