Ian and his wife Pam live at 80A Whitbarrow Road. He was educated at Cambridge University and worked as a senior manager in the glass industry. He has represented Statham on the Parish Council since 1979 and is a past Chairman. He was first elected to represent Lymm on the Borough Council in 1983. For the last four years, Ian has been leader of Warrington Council. For several years he has been Chairman of the Lymm Festival Committee and he is a Governor at Statham School. Ian is a long standing Board Member of Warrington Housing Association. His other interests include playing tennis, travel and gardening.
