David recognises the Parish council's responsibility to spend taxpayer's money fairly and efficiently, and believes that his commercial experience helps in achieving this

David has lived in Lymm with his wife Merete and daughter Hannah for over 10 years. Following the sale of their business in 2006 David has become more involved in the local community, and has been able to devote more of his time to voluntary work in Lymm.

David is an active member of the growing Lymm Round Table which raises money for local charities and organises major community events such as The Duck Race, Bonfire Night at the Rugby Club, Burns night and Dickensian Day. David is due to become Chairman of the Round Table in 2010/2011. He is also a keen cyclist having recently cycled the "Coast to Coast" and Pennine Trail.
