The three piece band comprising of local lads Gaz Roberts (Vocals, Guitar), Joe Bennett (Drums) and Joe Fush (Vocals and Bass) joined together in 2008 to form Cheap Cuts. They have performed over 50 gigs throughout the country, including supporting Florence and The Machine.
After being entered for the Live & Unsigned 2010 Music Competition by local bar owner Alley at The Venue, the boys sailed through the first round in Manchester securing them a place at the Regional Finals Live Performances at The Willows in Salford on Sunday 7th March.
Attracting 30,000 entries nationwide, Live & Unsigned is the biggest music competition in the UK for unsigned bands and artists. With the prize of a recording and management contract with Future Music and an investment of up to £30,000 to release their single, it’s a massive opportunity for the boys to progress in the industry.
The boys will be battling it out in Salford for the opportunity to progress towards the Live & Unsigned festival at the O2 in London. The final will provide acts with the chance to perform at the ultimate live music venue in a bid to win the contract deal.
Support our local lads in getting to the final by attending their Regional Finals at The Willow in Salford on Sunday 7th March. Tickets cost £7.50 and the event starts at 1pm. For details of how to get hold of tickets please contact band member Joe on 07732 525 630.
Cheap Cuts will also be performing live at The Venue on Saturday 27th February at 8pm.
