Father Michael

Along with parish responsibilities, I have been involved in training men and women for ministry

'I was born in the north-east in 1947 and after schooling, reading theology at university, and voluntary service with The Mission to Seafarers, I trained at the College of the Resurrection in Mirfield. I have served in parishes in the north-east and Cornwall, and then in 1986 I was subwarden at St Deiniol's Library in Hawarden, just inside the Welsh border.. This is a residential library which welcomes guests from all over the world. In 1991 I returned to parish life as Rector of Oughtrington and Warburton. Along with parish responsibilities, I have been involved in training men and women for ministry. I am on the Lymm Festival committee and chair the Wednesday Afternoon Group which provides a meeting place for the elderly. I have been a governor at Oughtrington School and alternate with the Rector of Lymm as a governor at Lymm High School.

My interests include reading, amateur operatics, singing in a choir and travel.'
