Lymm Round Table

Lymm, Lymm, Cheshire

Lymm & District Round Table are a group of likeminded lads (currently aged between 25 and 48), who, a couple of times a month; escape the WAGs and head down to the pub for a few pints.

Our calendar has interesting activities and trips lined up every month too. In addition to the drinks and activities, we organise 4 big events in Lymm to raise money for local charities and community groups.

Its members

We are a relaxed bunch of guys from all walks of life. Our members include engineers, medics, teachers, animators, IT guys, lawyers, council workers and various others. We even let Yorkshiremen and Welshmen join!

Who and What we are not?

We are not some secret society with strict rules, dodgy handshakes and initiation rites. We don’t wear suits or uniforms to meetings and do not require compulsory attendance. We’re just normal blokes! We all have other commitments and take part in activities when we can and want to.

Our Big 4 Events

These are our 4 big fundraisers in Lymm each year. All profits from these events go to charities and community groups.

Bonfire Night

On 5th of November, or at least the nearest Saturday to it. We’ll be at Lymm RFC letting off some unfeasibly big fireworks and trying not to blow ourselves up in the process. We’ve spoken to Dianne Oxberry at North West Tonight and she’s arranged a nice dry evening for us! You can buy tickets in advance at The Cross in Lymm for three Saturday mornings before the bonfire, or you can pay on the gate. In addition to the Bonfire, there will be various stalls in aid of local groups, childrens’ rides and a hog roast. We hope to see you there.

Burn’s Night

A night of whisky and debauchery every January at Statham Lodge.

Duck Race Easter Monday

Held in Lymm village centre. -1000 pedigree yellow ducks released into Lymm Lower Dam and it’s a cut-throat race to the bottom (well, nearly!). We sell duck tickets to the public for £1 and the winner gets a big wad of cash. There will be fairground rides, stalls run by local craftspeople and schools and some fabulous Peking duck pancakes!

Lymm Dickensian

A Victorian themed Christmas fayre in Lymm. We organise Santa’s diary so that he can make it to the village and tell the kids how horribly they’ve behaved this year. See you there!
