Altrincham Grammar School for Girls recognises that each pupil is an individual with regards to Special Educational Needs. They aspire to work in partnership with the pupils, their parents and the relevant outside organisation with the aim to integrate girls with Special Education Needs into normal teaching groups. Altrincham Grammar School for Girls works alongside the principles and policies of The Special Educational Needs and Disability Discrimination Act.

Altrincham Grammar School for Girls benefit from partnerships with schools in France, Germany, Turkey, China and South Africa allowing for regular abroad trips and work experience exchanges to be organised. For this, the school were awarded with the International School Award for its success in creating such international dimensions within the curriculum. Organised trips abroad for skiing, an adventure holiday in Devon and foreign language trips are also featured.
